EVENTS 2009!
 

May 23 - PARK OPENS! 

June 6 – FASHION SHOW (& MEDIA DAY!)  You will find the latest in fashion swimwear and accessories at the local Pond Shop within Point Mallard Park. To kick off the season, we’re strolling down the catwalk to give you the hippest designs!   Show starts at 1:00 at the beach; Media event is at the deck at noon.

 

June 9 – ETOWAH CO. YOUTH ORCHESTRA performs at the beach around noon.

 

June 19 – SE ALL STAR BAND will perform at the beach around 12:30; Marching band complete with color guard and majorettes.

 

June 21 – FATHER’S DAY!  A day to celebrate! All dads enjoy half off admission with a paying child ticket!

 

June 26 & 27 – LUAU!  (Rain date Sunday June 28)  Hula dancers; fire knife dancers; musicians; fireworks.  Wear your best Hawaiian outfit….you might just win a prize!  Luau starts at 8:00; games for the kids start at 7:00.

 

July 3 & 4 – SPIRIT OF AMERICA!  Free celebration at the Spirit of America field…Miss Point Mallard Pageants, music, food, fireworks!

 

July 17 – FREE MOVIE AT THE EXPO; showing “Herbie the Lovebug” at dark

 

July 18 – BUG DAY!  Cooks Pest Control will be bringing some “special friends” to the water park.  Stop by and check out some of the creepy, crawly insects from Cooks museum.

 

July 18 & 19 – BUGGIN’ IN JULY VW CAR SHOW at the Expo Center 

 

July 21 – TOOLS FOR SCHOOLS!  Bring school supplies to Point Mallard between 10:00 – 12:00 and get into the park for half price admission during these two hours only! (Suggested school supplies: pencils, Wide-Rule Notebook Paper, Crayons, Markers, Colored Pencils, etc. or make a monetary donation)

 

August 23 – KIDS (11 AND UNDER) GET IN FREE on this Sunday

 

August 30 – KIDS (11 AND UNDER) GET IN FREE on this Sunday

 

September 6 – KIDS (11 AND UNDER) GET IN FREE on this Sunday

 

September 7 – LABOR DAY!  Final day of the water park season! Special end of year sale at the Pond Shop gift shop.

 

 

PARK HOURS:

10am – 6pm Mondays and Wednesday with half price admission … holidays not included

10am – 8pm Tuesdays and Thursdays (with half price admission after 5pm)

10am – 6pm Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with regular admission

 

The park will be closed week days starting Monday, August 10

Final day:  Labor Day Sept. 7
